Hey everyone.
My name is Jon. I have been interested in becoming a member of the 501st for a while now. Well, after Comic con, and seeing the camaraderie, I had to join the fun. I am working on a reserve TIE pilot first, then will upgrade over time. Many of you may know me as part of the command staff at the Umbrella Corporation- Utah Hive, so wearing heavy armor is something I'm used to. Since a lot of people don't recognize people out of costume I added two pics of me. One is me just a couple months ago in full gear, and the other is me at the Ogden zombie crawl a couple years ago. I didn't realize that I don't have many pictures of me out of costume that aren't 5+ years old.

Welcome aboard!

Be sure you sign up and attend a couple of events so you can meet the local members and get as much advice as you can for your build!

Have you signed up on the imperial officers corps forums yet?

Reserve Pilots are under the JRS, but the IOC would have good info as well.

Also this is my brother so I'm helping him along with it.

Welcome! I just finished my reserve pilot and full pilot earlier this year, so if you have any questions let me know, I'd love to help.

Sorry for the disappearance for a few days. I have to get in the habit of coming here. I haven't used a forum in close to 5 years...lol. Anyway, Thanks everyone. I'm excited to get my costume done and start trooping. This weekend I ordered my Hat, belt, and gloves from Wampa wear. I would love to have my costume done by December, but it all hinges on if I can get all the parts by then.

Yes Jason you should come over with us. I think you would make a great addition to the group.

You should start a thread in the costumes and props area to track the progression of your build. This would be what I would reference as GML to see how things are going, and serve as a place to ask questions and receive feedback from our members.

OK, I will start one over there. I didn't really want to until I had something to show. I have only ordered parts so far.

No worries. You can start there and list out what you are looking to order. Some people have had good/bad experiences with many of the vendors out there, and may even have some tips for you to consider before placing your orders.

My own build thread started in the same way, and very early on I received advice which I used immediately to purchase a neck seal.
