Hello, all! I'm Julie.

I'm going to do it. This is my year. I've been telling myself that I'll join the 501st for seven or eight years now, and I've had an account on this forum for about two years. Been an obsessive Empire fan since I first saw the OT, and as soon as I heard about the 501st, I knew I wanted to join.

My plan is to join as a TIE Reserve, then work up to a fully armored TIE Pilot. I have a flightsuit, but I'm not sure about it. The waist seems to be a bit higher up than it should be. I plan on buying most of the needed stuff, as I'm hopeless at sewing, but I want to make the belt and compad myself. I'd appreciate any help you guys can give me. I'm going to work past my shyness and actually engage with the garrison.

I originally wanted to be a Stormtrooper, but I'd rather not get "aren't you a little short for a Stormtrooper?" every five seconds. Good thing I love TIE Pilots just as much. Short people can fit in small cockpits. Speaking of Stormtrooper armor, I bought a kit from ANOVOS (Medium, with soft goods) a while ago, so if anyone wants to buy that, PM me. I was still hopeful about somehow gaining ten inches in height. Delusions of grandeur abound.

Looking forward to joining your ranks!

TIE Pilot: Reserve Pilot

Hat: yes
Flightsuit: yes, needs compad window adjustment
Gloves: yes
Boots: yes
Belt: yes
Belt Buckle: yes
Compad: yes

Welcome!

My hat, belt and buckle came from WampaWear. They are great quality.

I got my flight suit from cosplaysky, but Wampa also has those at a higher cost.

Get access to the Jolly Roger Squadron forums for info on the compad. :)

Welcome to the fun Julie, I'm sure our pilots will be thrilled to have another one in their ranks :), in the meantime though please come out to an event we'd love to meet you and it gives you a chance to meet the members and see the costumes up close.
