Hi all, I took the plunge and got on the waiting list for ATA armor. The wait is about 14 weeks. Looks like the helmet may be ready and should be on its way soon. I need to get out to an event to meet some of you guys. Question...looks like a lot of events list what types of costumes are expected. Is that strictly followed, or can stormtroopers show up wherever they please? :)

Other things I'll be picking up:
Doopy doos blaster kit (not really a model guy, but my brother is pretty good with it...)
Eastbay undersuit
Trooperbay belt (maybe the neck seal too, but $40 seems pretty steep)
Balaclava...a necessity? I suppose it helps makes sure you're all blacked out underneath
TKBoots

more to come...

Whoa!, more white armor!!!
Just looking through your list of other things, Stormtroopers don't really need a balaclava. A neckseal alone does just fine, so you won't need both. There are some other options out there other then Trooperbay for neckseals. What kind of price range did you have in mind for one?

I agree with Seth, unless you have very long hair that you need to conceal, there's no need for a balaclava.

These blast points — too accurate for sandpeople. Only imperial stormtroopers are so precise

I can't imagine spending more than 20 bucks on a neck seal, but I also want something that won't get irritating. Yeah the ATA armor looks great from what I've seen around. Decent price too. Have you started your build yet Dark?

The ATA is a good kit and I'd certainly reccommend it after seeing one. It sounds like you're in full swing and if you need some help with it once you get it, let us know and we can help you get started.
